A little piece of Mediterranean summer, created by hand.
This unique wall artwork combines the timeless beauty of blue-and-white decorative tile patterns with hand-sculpted lemons, creating a playful three-dimensional composition inspired by the sunny landscapes of the Mediterranean.
The lemons are individually shaped from papier-mâché and painted by hand. Around them, fragments of patterned decorative paper create an irregular mosaic-like border, while the natural, torn edges of the paper add to the handmade character of the piece.
Rather than reproducing a traditional ceramic tile, I wanted to create something softer and more tactile — a piece of wall art that feels collected, sun-worn and slightly imperfect.
Each plate is entirely handmade, so small variations in texture, color and shape are part of its character.
The two plates were created as a pair and look especially beautiful displayed together.
