A one-of-a-kind handmade paper mache bowl featuring poppies and delicate blossoms decoupage in shades of blue, green and crimson. A small sculptural artwork created slowly and entirely by hand.

This one-of-a-kind paper mache vessel brings together botanical imagery, rich colour and an intentionally organic handmade texture.

The interior is decorated with a delicate floral composition: soft blue-green blossoms and branches surround a group of richly coloured poppies in crimson, burgundy and pink. The dark textured exterior and copper-toned rim create a beautiful contrast with the lighter, painterly interior.

I make each piece slowly and entirely by hand. The irregular edge, tactile surface and small variations are part of the character of the work — no two pieces can ever be exactly alike.

More than a functional object, this piece is intended as a small work of art for the home: something to display on a shelf, console, coffee table or sideboard and return to again and again.
